Nice pattern, works great with the angle you have chosen and her holding her head up :) .
Lovely soft tones on her face, compared to the all black background.

You mean, you used daylight for this photo?! Wow, than I have even more respect for what you have accomplished in this photo! :)

I don't like flash either, although I normally use continue lightning instead of daylight... ;)
